I'm back and I'm 23.

March 5, 2011. Saturday.
The day before was a tiring day at work. Intensive finance session and also hardcore cricket league going on. I was tired. I came home had dinner and slept from 11 pm till it struck 12 and phone started ringing. Birthdays are the only days when you actually feel blessed. People wishing for you. People happy for you. For once in 365 days you are the star. March 5 , 2011 was one of the 23 such days I've had till now.

After enjoying a good long drive. I came back home around 3 am. I just couldn't get my self to sleep for an hour when it suddenly struck me "**ck" m 23!.

I again calculated to reconfirm 2011-1988=23. Confirm. I am 23.

Hmm, so its 23. 23 years and excited to be alive. Some times i feel its happening too fast. Sometimes i want things to slow down. Stop and stare at what's what and what's not. So many things done , and so many still undone.

In the next 5 years I want to be able to say been there and done that.
I want to be able to say I know it all.
I want to be able to say life cannot be more perfect that this.
It's been good well spent 2 decades.
I have either got what i wanted and if not I have got more than what i wanted. But still there is a sense of somethings amiss. May be its the final few pieces of the huge jigsaw puzzle of life. May be then I'll get to see the bigger picture. 23 years have gone looking at the bigger picture. Concentrating on what's in it for the future. What's in it for later. I want to be able to say here I am and I love it. For once no second doubts , crystal clear thoughts, knowing what you are what you can be so that there be no regrets no demands no expectations just LIFE.

May be all this is an Utopian state of life and mind but i feel it can happen. I feel there will be a time when I'll be overwhelmed with positivity. There will be a time when it will take mammoth of an effort to wipe the smile off my face. I may be sounding like a 40 year old female who's freaking out that she's turned 40 or like a 60 year old who's on his death bed.

But I am 23 and it's my birthday and the exciting part starts now and I dont want to still say all this 40 years from now.

We all say life is short. Life is fast. And in fact it is. You blink and you are 23 and blink again you are 60 and trust me age is not just " a number". So I dont want to wait but i want to be a big huge leap ahead so that when things come my way and I am the receiving end I want to be able to say bring it ON!!!.

For now. I just look up close my eyes and say Thank You. God.

I deserved Goa.

The wait was of more than a decade. Million times a plan was made and more than a million times it was cancelled. But finally.. one day it happened. Okay I am not talking about something big. Its just that going GOA was a big huge achievement for all my friends and me.

We finally made it happen. It was a shame for me.. that 22 years in mumbai and i havent been to goa which is like a stone's throw away compared to all other states and cities.My cousins from all around india have come here and visited the place.

Specially after Dil Chahta hai the boom it gave goa tourism also affected us.Since them all of us have been wanting to go there.Goa is to India what Vegas is to US.

First of all Goa is a guy's paradise. I mean it was weird for a day after I came back to Mumbai to see fully clothed people.

It is contrasting by the morning and night and evening. You see 3 different colours of goa every phase of the day. Its nice bright and sunny in the morning. It welcomes the day with both hands open. The hustle bustle in the morning of the shacks the sweet sound of the waves. Its friendly by the morning.

As the day progresses you go back to relaxing mood. I never understood the fun in sun bathing besides the obsession of firangs to get the tanned skin I couldnt get how they could just lie down for hours and hours.

Well now i understood. Its the best thing to do in goa from 2 in the afternoon to 5 in the evening. Have fun in the beach.. float on the water.. sun bathe..go back.. float.. sun bathe. Your eyes become heavy , your body becomes loose and the sleep is prolly the deepest sound sleep in ages.

As it strikes 5.. the forts in GOA.. are the places to be. The sunsets are amazing. The beach view.. and so so so silent. Silence is indeed golden. The words just cant describe the peace ,you feel like on top of the world. All your tensions behind.. the breeze brushing your face.. you just dont want to talk there.. just sit , stop and stare at the beauty of the life , of the place, of your inner self.

The forts i mentioned are chapora( dil chahta hai fort) and aguada fort.

5-7 was the introspection period that i mentioned above. Eyes closed , smile on the face , and music in your ears and there you are.

To Do things in Goa

Water Sports. It lasts just for half an hour but its amazing. Do all of them and dont forget to bargain.
Visit the forts.Its not only about the beaches.
Ride Activa 2 in the night. Trust me its amazing.
Sun Bathe and Sun Screen and Sun Set.
Cut off. No FB. No TV.
Have Cheese Pakoda at Sam's (Baga Beach)
Sleep on the beach atleast for a night.
Night Life. (9Bar , Curlies) Trance Music.
Make a move on atleast one Firang. :p

After 7 is what they say the day begins in Goa. Wine shops filled. Clubs and bars and firangs searching for what they call "party". Trance music at its best. People dancing their asses off. Indians looking to score some hot looking russian. Russians looking to score something else.

As the day ends and the clock strikes 12. You sit on the beach look up at the sky and see the million stars shining bright which will never be a sight in mumbai ever. Those stars are so bright that every star seems a shooting shining star.

And the song on your ipod plays " Can we pretend that air planes in the night sky like shooting stars." and you say to yourself.. I could really use a wish right now.. :) (sighs!!).

Goa has nothing special. But still its very very special. Its different from all other tourist destinations in india. No historical monuments, no strings attached, no suicide points, no special fruit or food , no kahani . It is just Goa.

So in the end. I think I deserved a break. Hence I deserved GOA.

It's All About The Thrill Of The Chase.

The following 20 odd lines that I am going to rant about is nothing new. Everyone knows about it at the back of their mind or even consciously. We are all well acquainted with the basic human need of being needy all the time. No living being is satisfied with what they have. The phrase 'A bird in hand is better than 2 in the bush' no longer holds true because of the same human tendency which makes us go after the 2 in the bush and take the one in hand to be granted. Why does this happen? What is this insatiable urge that I am talking about? Why cant we ever be happy and satisfied and content with what we have? Ye dil kyu maange more?

Well, Its all about the THRILL of the CHASE.

Human beings like chase. They like to run after things that are out of their reach. There is a sense of accomplishment in that. There is a sense of victory and ego involved in it and plus the adage "You dont get what you want and you dont need what you get."

So coming back to the thrill of the chase. It's true. Till the time the thing is out of reach we go all guns to get it by hook or by crook. There is no stopping even if there is an option of getting something which is sure we still want to go after what is out of reach. You know its not possible. You know its immensely difficult but still you want to go at it till you get it.

Okay. Fine. You strive hard. You put your several years hard work behind it and finally by god's grace you do actually manage to get it. That's it. Game Over. Thrill of the chase is gone. It's fizzed out.
And as soon as the thrill is gone you realize the value of whatever you wanted is gone down too. You no longer want it. You no longer desire it. Something that was keeping you alive , it was your whole n sole aim to achieve it once you are done realizing the dream it feels the purpose is served and suddenly the thrill is gone.

The very same thing that you wanted now that you have it you no longer need it. You start taking it for granted once its yours and yours only. Because now there is no chasing it no adventure in it. And you again stumble upon something to chase for and the vicious circle of discontent continues.

Thrill of the chase is true in so many cases. Take live examples from your life itself.

Be it the girl/boy next door who's not into you at all and you start taking it as a challenge to woo them and impress them and finally get them to like you head over heels and thrill is gone.
Take them for granted. Go for greener pastures. Chase over. Game over. Relationship over.

Be it the company that you've been chasing for. You spend sleepless nights over it. Pray that you get the job and then there will be nothing else that you want from life.You finally get it. Game over. Thrill gone.
Go for greener pastures.

Be it the new phone/new bike/ a car you've been wanting it for ages. You wait eagerly. You strive hard to realize it. Its here. 1st day - love it . 2nd - like it. 3rd - enjoy it. 4th - bored of it.

Saturation comes everywhere. I got this forward from a friend which makes so much sense
" The irony of life is. The more you center your life around a person the more unattractive you become to that person."

It is so true and not only relating to people. But things. Every time you need some space. You need the excitement and thrill and enthusiasm to be alive and kicking. Anything in excess is bad and hence unattractive and enough because the thrill is not there.

So guys. Try and keep the thrill alive and try and value things even when they are yours because once they are gone its going to hurt and the harsh truth is it wont come back no matter how hard you chase for it.

Gratitude is the way of living. Adjust. Appreciate and Accept.

Okay. That's it. Its time to get your head and heart at the right place and start contemplating on things. In fact done contemplating things , done with thinking about things. Its time do it and make it happen.

Why is there an always insatiable urge about something in life?

Why does it become so difficult to be satisfied and content and not having to worry about anything else?

I guess its just the nature of wanting to have a constant change.

Change from monotony , from routine , from people , from life.

As the old saying goes "change is the only constant" or its tongue in cheek version "Variety is the spice of life".It is this need for change that makes me do 100 things at the same time. May be to run from monotony or to keep me safe that if 99 things are falling apart i still got 1 thats working for me.

Boredom as i read somewhere is nothing but a byproduct of discontent or disinterest. And i think discontent gives birth to disinterest. But the point is when will this discontent end.

I somehow always wanted to delete this word from my brain " boredom". I refrain from using it because what i feel when people say " I am bored" it might be from the surroundings, from the work but it is more from themselves. Till the time you can keep yourself in your good company you dont want anything else to amuse you.However the boredom bug has hit me more than often recently which is what irritates me. I shouldnt be having time to get bored. There are million things to do and i come up with " I am bored".

Just need a kick start, eye opener a push an inspiration to get things going.

There starts the other problem.

After 3 idiots i've heard this philosophy " Do what you actually want to do. Take up things where your actual talent lies".Now who knows where and what my actual TALENT is.

"Jack of all trades , master of none." This phrase is like tailor made for me.

But i find this problem with most of my friends. Nobody actually knows what they want. We either quote or do or say what the other half of the world is saying and jump in the same boat and when we are on it we try finding life jackets to swim safely to some other territory before it drowns you and takes you down.

I always use to wish. If only I had this one talent , one area in which i could be a master at , there would have been so much less confusion , life would have been so simple, I would know exactly what I want to do and that would have been my ultimate goal.I just cant get my head straight right now to think what I want right now. And even if after putting in all the rationalities , looking deep down inside , being all practical I come up with something that I want , there is this fear that what if i get what i want but this isnt what I need. Its like today I decide that I wanna be a pilot and tomorrow i realize that I am afraid of heights.

So the shit's fu**** up!!

But it goes the other way round too when the rolling stone says

You can't always get what you want

And if you try sometime you find

You get what you need

My dad keeps on saying " Love what you do, do what you love"

I reply him by saying that this is twisted. It should've been " Do what you love and you will obviously love what you do."

With all this in my head , getting fed up at sometimes I just find the easy way out and say " Chuck it, we'll see what happens."But then the sand is slipping out of the hand. The clock is ticking.If not now then when?

So its time to prioritize things, make some hard decisions, get things back on track, but before all that find the right track.

Words that made me smile yesterday from Grey's Anatomy which totally applies to the situation right now

Mumbai-Delhi-Mumbai

Yes, Back. This was like a big lull on TONIGHT'S ENTERTAINMENT. It was because i have been having my own share of entertainment since the last 2 months when I was in Delhi.
There was drama , tragedy , comedy , action , suspense , emotional and a happy ending.
I was out of the blog arena because of the 2 month training that I had for the new job.
A new start , new people , new city , new experience and it was all worth it.

It wasnt just Mumbai-Delhi-Mumbai. It was like.. done with Mumbai I need a change.. Then comes Delhi..1 month in Delhi.. its the best city.. one more month in Delhi.. Mumbai I want to go back .. nothing like it.

The Secret works in mysterious ways. Before i got a chance to go Delhi i used to cry and wonder when will i get to see the Capital. I'd seen it in movies which kinda increased my curiosity to visit the city.

each movie had delhi in it which excited me. I'd heard some of the delhi lingo from here and there. The way they add "yo" after every word..

So thanks to the new job I finally get to go check out delhi not for 7 days but for 7 weeks. And how it was!

It was awesome. Delhi was amazing change from Mumbai.
Delhi and Mumbai are like 2 sides of the same coin. So same but so different. Both have their own striking characteristics. 2 different bodies but the same soul types.

Delhi is a lot like extremes.
Extreme heat.. Extreme cold..Extreme in transport from stupid bicycle rickshaws to Metro...
Extreme in crowd from snobbish shopkeepers and auto-drivers to hep smart hot saket and gk1 crowd.
Extreme in places from the historic monuments to huge shopping malls to parathe wali gully to chandni chowk to connought place.
You get to see a city within a city.
Delhi is actually more diverse than what mumbai is and it is kind of easier to explore things in delhi if you know how and when and where to travel but i always feel crowd makes the place. You dont see a friendly face in Delhi's crowd. Everyone is just oblivious to whats happening around.
Mumbai no matter how much people are frustrated with their lives , the trains , the buses , the weather... you always get some to chat up with.. someone to help you in case you are lost and its easier to trust them.

Metros are like the highlight of Delhi. They are what sets the city apart. So simplified. So much fun to travel. Amazing cleanliness. Super speed amazing view. The only thing missing in any other place in India.

One week before i was leaving for Delhi. I got to hear lot of things about the big city.
People are crooks. Its unsafe. Girls are crazy. Guys are filthy rich. Foodie Paradise. Shopping Hub.
Some of the above things were true some just hyped.

Like convincing the auto driver to take you exactly where you want to is an uphill task in itself.
Stop the rick. Ask him if he wants to go. Then tell him to take certain amount of people. Then take certain amount of money. And trust me the drivers drive rick as if they have their hands on a limousine wheel. I dont know how they earn their living by being such in your face jerks.

But every city at the end has its charm which pull you towards it. So Delhi was fun. For whatever time it was I enjoyed. But it made me feel more for Mumbai, miss Mumbai and realized that there is no place like it.

The name is very recent though. I made some amazing friends.
I always had this fear before i left for Delhi. That what if people with me wont be fun. What if I dont gel with them. I had everything ready. 3 Books , I-Touch filled with songs and movies enought to last me a month.
But neither did i read a single page nor did I see a single movie. There just wasnt time. We enjoyed each other's company so much that it was just surprising for 9 bunch of strangers.

Priyank - This guy had the most amazing and humorous stories to tell. I guess it was his stories that broke the ice in the Rajdhani Express. We went nuts laughing. Although he's got a more serious side to himself to some set notions some beliefs but then who doesnt. When he's on a roll its ROFL. I hope you know priyank what this means.. :P

Paresh - First Impression. Total Nerd. Last Impression the most amazing guy to be with and opposite of what any nerd would be. He's helpful. He's creative. He's at times childlishly funny ( burps and farts) and at times irritatingly mature and a perfectionist. We still remember the way you cut vegetables and who can forget the dancing skills man. Coding master the entire delhi batch was at your feet to help them through their code.

Pawan - Laid Back. Relaxed. Adventurous. Entourage buddy. Amazing One liners. Go-to guy of our group. Always the last one to get up. He's the one who planned or un-planned all the amazing and memorable trips that we went to. I found you a bit diplomatic at times and a bit in your face at times so good. The Delhi Guide. As i told you before we left for Mumbai. Had it not been for you we would have been sitting in our rooms watching TV every weekend.

Anish - Nobody Believes me. But you are a lot like me. Hassle free. No cribbing. Chilled out. Optimist. Very Adjustable and very very helpful. I still remember when everyone was down and out in Vaishnodevi you were still the one running to get a bus so that we can reach next day on time. Always the first one to be ready. Joyful. Talks less. Smiles a lot. But when spoken to can talk on any damn topic in the world. Mr. Academic Allrounder. you share this tag with Paresh though.

Swettta - She came a lil late. But then again it took her little time to mix and mingle and before you know she was one of us. Although at times she used to be on her own talking on the phone or too too engrossed in her computer. But then she was a silent killer. Spoke less but whenever she did it was atom bomb. We used to be in splits. Very very sweet and too cute specially when it came to singing your fav song. Haseena Maan Jayegi. Swetttaa.. do remember " Top Of the World" and " Life is Smoooooth" ya fir " Purrrfect" bhi chalegaa..

Karan - Ranga. Rangeela. Rangi. I shall not go further into this. He was our punching bag. Frustrated with work. Chal aaj Ranga ko maarte hai and all he used to do is Shout!!.. hahaha.. He used to scare us with the voice that he thought was just perfect for the next Indian Idol. But that is where his sense of humor came from. We used to enjoy listening to him and making a mess of the lyrics. Pure jain and not once did he sacrifice on that which I kind of hated at the start but then have to appreciate the will power. The most amazing part was Mansi-Papa and " Haa Su Kare Chhe"

Dattaram - He was no more Dattaram. For everyone in and around him he was now called Data. Another coding guru. I used to like coding with him when he taught me it went straight in. Very simple and sweet. Again used to be in his own world and his phone. From day1 he had his sleeping bed fixed and nobody was allowed to sleep there. Dattaram Paresh and Pawan were like the NON VEG gang.

Gagandeep - The only Delhi guy who gelled so well and so soon. He used to be our Delhi food and travel guide. Very Helpful and patient with all the phone calls and inquiries that we bothered him with. He gave me the name E2.. lol excited electron. Funny and Outgoing. Got to hear some real time Delhi slangs from him.

Yogita - The YO!!. She's awesome. She is just too much fun. Bollywood connection made us click. Both of us being big time bollywood fans. Singing songs together. Knowing exactly what situation reminds us of which movie. She's too caring, sweet and pretty. Loved clicking pictures talking for hours. Cracking the silliest of jokes. And how can i forget Pasta and Mayo Toast and Grilled Sandwiches. They were just yum. Anish Yogita and I used to be this Marwari Gang. People infulence you a lot.I am sure you've had a decent influence on me and all positive. I loved the way we used to communicate what eye contact skills I was amazed at myself that i posessed such skills before.. :P It was lovely knowing you.

I've been lucky on this part. Wherever I go I always end up making awesome friends. I keep meeting some like minded people some different people but all of whom I can hang out with.
Now 9 Different people and 9 Different personalities. There are bound to be fights and tiffs and coldwars and misunderstanding. When you have to see the same person everyday for 24 hrs either you may start hating them too much or start loving them too much.
But luckily it was the latter that happened.

Engineering Roller Coaster. 4 years in 40 lines for 40 marks.

So.. It's finally here. The day i've been waiting for from the moment I got in. So before its all over dead and gone I just want to take some time to reminisce about the 4 year long journey called Engineering.

What a roller coaster ride it has been these 4 years!! It went from curiosity to excitement to fear to depression to lull to carefree to enjoyment to ecstatic and finally ending on a high note.

Although the roller coaster track was full of ups and downs it was an enjoyable yet boring , tasking yet fruitful, full of hatred yet full of memories and then you say those words which you never thought mid way through this journey that you will be saying this at the end of the four years. " I cant believe I will actually miss this college"

When this roller coaster started in June 2006 its finally giving up its momentum and coming to an halt in June 2010.

Let me explain you the emotions that i mentioned above while i was on the roller coaster called computer engineering.

Curiosity : What will the college be like? Compulsory attendance? Crowd? oh yaa Teaching as well?

Excitement : First day of college. Ragging Happens? Infrastructure is sick man! Oh I love this college.

Fear : Shit first semester. Whats gona happen. I havent even started. How are these so called mumbai university papers like?

Depression: There i got my first ever KT. KT ye kya hota hai ? I am officially allowed to keep term.(ATKT) 90% in 10th 85% in 12th and i fail for the first ever time.

Lull : This is just not meant to be. Where am i stuck? This is not what i am supposed to be doing. I hate this college.

Carefree : Seriously? I dont give a fu**. Its all bull shit. I'll see what happens. Fu** it.

Enjoyment : All clear dude.. all Clear.. yes yes yes!! Orgasmic..lol..

Ecstatic : Guess who just got placed. Guess guess..!! I have an OFFER.

I always had this infatuation with computers. I wanted to learn about them. Making softwares sounded so cool and slick before you actually know how they are made. 14 is too early an age to decide what you want to take up as a career. But may be it was my prejudiced and judgemental nature that made me decide that after winning a powerpoint presentation interschool competition I am apt for Computer Engineering. May be it was just meant to be. So here i am. Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science. Sounds Good.

Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology was not the college that I would have wanted to do engineering from. But after miserable CET marks i would have accepted anything that comes my way. So when i saw my name on the last list I jumped with joy. I was finally going to do computer engineering.

First Year : Complete transformation from the hep south mumbai Jai Hind College it was time to attend Suburban Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology. I'd heard that girls are in each and every field but engineering. I got to know that after coming here. The girl - guy ratio was abysmal. First year in any college goes more in socializing than in studying. Getting to know people making your own hang out group or entourage. Hitting on somewhat good looking girls cos you know the couple of girls who are actually very good looking will already have 10 guys lined up after them. Bunking lectures was fun in first year and obtained some kind of thrill. Giving proxies working for college festivals building a rapport with seniors. The freshers party. The dos and donts of the college. You run for tuitions and crash courses.

Second Year : You feel like you own the college now. You are officially a senior. You want to rag. You want to catch the first year girls YOUNG. In first year we liked the 4th year crowd. In second year we start liking the FE crowd. Things like." Apne batch mai aisi ladkiya kyu nahi thi" become a common hearing.

At the same time the good friends in first year become best friends by the end of second year and lovers eventually. This is when the fun starts. The gossip mongers come into action and the emotional atyachaar begins.The back biting. The groupism. Immature.

Third Year: This is the year when you actually start studying a bit. Because the excitement is gone. The fun is over. You know longer want to dress traditionally on tradition day and no longer give roses and chocolates to the girl who has another 100 guys giving her the same red rose. You get yourself in random college committees just for the sake of getting certificates.You no more want to be in the professors bad books. All you want is 60%. But also this is the time when I made great friends. I got to learn about people. I got to know people. I realized who I am supposed to be with and who I want to keep just as an acquaintance. You become closer to a few pals. You draw yourself away from some.

Fourth Year : Everything is Happening. Final Year. CAT. GRE. PLACEMENTS. Life is on fast track and before you realize your four years are over. and suddenly it strikes you dont want them to get over. You still want to sit on the last bench and talk about totally random stuff , gossip and curse the professor while she is clearing her throat.You still want to sing songs in atif aslam voice and people start howling and throwing chalks at you. You still want to doodle on your last page of your book and fill it up with your signature. You still want to give proxies and bunk lectures and xerox assignments. You still want to talk about the entire world. You still want to sit on the last bench of the classroom with that particular person even though you know first 5 benches are totally empty. As Kapse used to call " Balcony People I know you dont want to study". You again want to dress up for traditional day , formal day , graduation day thinking that you might not get to see them again and click thousands of pictures for memories. You know longer care about tuitions and crash courses.

Regrets Guilts Mistakes Disappointments and Sarcasm aside, you learn a lot. You remember some professors who made stuff easy for you. You hate those professors who made life hell for you. You learn people. You learn Life.

I would like to thank so many people for making my journey worthwhile. I will take back some brilliant moments I've spent in those birthday parties that we've thrown for each other. Giving and receiving gifts.The innumerable times that we've gone to CCD or INFINITY enough to know the menu card by heart.

Tanya - I'll miss " Malu, You know what!!!" I'll miss the last bench gossip. I'll miss calling you every single day. I'll miss chocolate fantasy. I'll miss jini dosa. I'll miss you being ten times more excited than me for my birthday. I'll miss the photo sessions with you. I'll miss the parties we've had at your place. I'll miss Bombay To Bangkok and I'll miss Loins Of Punjab and Ugly aur Pagli and Chandni Chowk to China and not to forget LOVE SEX AUR DHOKA. There are so so so many other friends that i would love to thank. Everyone was special. Everyone made me smile.

The few other things that I would like to thank are

1. My 15 year old bike - It made commuting fun. I've never enjoyed travelling so much. 15 mins and I was there and it never betrayed. Not in the scorching heat not in the thunderous shower. Always there.

2. My Cellphone - I got this in the start of my engineering and since then has been very important and special I dont feel like giving it away for a new one.

3. The Ipods - Yes the two I pods that i've lost. One of them gifted by my friends. Music was the only thing with me when everything else was falling apart.

4.Bag - It felt empty when i started coming to college without my bag and with just one book in the final year.Somehow get emotinally attached to these.

5.Lexi Pen - I've never changed this pen even once in 4 years. Blue Lexi Pen made me score the much needed 70's in my papers.

6. Mom and Dad - Thank you.

7.RAJIV GANDHI INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY - After all this college gave me a direction. A new path. It is ending for a new beginning. It gave me work. It gave me knowledge. It has taken from me 4 years and given me something about it that i'll never forget these years. It was MEANT TO BE. It all starts from where it is ending.

To end this longest post ever I just wanted to collect as much as I can of my 4 years in 40 lines. Thanking is a part of me. I believe in gratitude. I believe never regret anything that made you smile. I just wish all the luck love happiness to everyone and I hope when i see them 10 years down the line on the same street It would not take me a second before i go and hug them. Everyone's starting a new thing. A new life. A new day. A new start. Starting from scratch. Starting from where they left off. So its kinda nostalgic. If you dont get attached in 4 years you are a robot. So its emotional. Its frightening to imagine things no longer being the same.

Ouch.. That Hurt !

Criticism always hurts. There is no such thing called positive or negative criticism. When it comes it comes with an arrow to pierce right through. No matter how calm or composed you are its gona prick you at some moment. Who likes brick bats anyway? Everyone likes to be praised and appreciated and talked about in good words.

Now take me for example..

I've been this guy who's never had a fight with anyone. Not even with my closest buddies. Its just in my nature to keep people happy. Take them the way they are. I dont like to crib about people everyone has their own nature. I am being called diplomatic or manipulative for that but it doesnt change me. I am a people's person and I like it. I like it when i have a thousand people to greet and shake hands with when I enter my college.

But then all of a sudden I had this really interesting conversation which ended up as an argument with one of my oldest and closest friends and got to know so many flaws about me which i thought i never had.

This is the thing about friends.. "A good friend will tell you whats the matter with you in a minute. He may not seem to be such a good friend after telling."

another thing about friends " Never explain - your friends dont need it and your enemies wont believe you anyway"

Thats the problem with criticism. Till the time he/she tells you the sugar coated words he's ur best friend but one bad thing about you and he's no more your best friend.

So criticism is often very difficult to take in your stride.

Specially for someone who's never had it before and specially from someone who's never ever told anything against you.

It hurts. It makes you think. It disturbs you like crazy. But again my favorite quote comes handy in stress situations "Whatever happens, happens for a reason"

So may be this might strengthen the bond or it might make me look at myself and think where am i going wrong but it was a good change. You need to hear something like that to do some introspection but not very often.

So criticize all you want but make sure you dont hurt the person. Tell him whats wrong but give him a reason why is it wrong. Tell him the bad points but also tell him why he is good enough to have a discussion. After all you are harsh and you are sensitive both with people you care the most. So its never too late to criticize and its never too late to change for GOOD.

Breaking Up. Simplified.

Breaking up is such a headache isnt it. Whether you are too desperate to break up with someone or you are so close to the person that breaking up is gona hurt you even more but then you got to do what you got to do.

Breaking up in the correct way is always difficult. The right words to choose, the correct tone, waiting for the perfect situation , forcing that situation to arrive so you land up in some petty fight and swoop in with your break up line the same way you swooped in with your pick up line the first time you met that person.

It has to be taken care that you are not mean, you dont hurt your gf/bf and also make sure at the same time that he/she was the reason of the break up and not you and you were only forced into it.

Keeping all this aside i just came across a cool advertisement which shows the new age break up.

Its such a tension free no load no stress chilled out break up ever seen.

Have a look.

I cant help but watch the ad everytime it comes during those IPL breaks and smile everytime and wonder if only life would have been so simple. The couple are so into each other a few seconds before and immediately after that comes the break up line " You dont love me anymore"

I love the acting by the cute girl in the advertisement. The initial innocent surprise and then the self realization expression after giving the break up line a lil thought and then deciding to be "freinds" only to "move on" in split second.

The Universe loves speed so dont second doubt when in doubt. So much time is wasted in breaking up and the moving on. If only universally this could be the norm acceptable by every couple half the emotinal atyachaar is already woosh and gone!!

1.The Reversal - " Its not you, Its me. You are just the best person anyone can get. I dont deserve you."

2.The Forced Fight- " You know what pisses me off the most about you. This fuckin attitude of yours. You think I cant survive without you."

After experimenting several times with his kid bro , Ekta Kapoor finally tried something out of the box. Dibakar Banerjee of "Khosla and Ghosla" and national award winner "Oye Lucky,Lucky Oye" came up with a new concept of reality cinema.

And what came out with this new age experiment gone bad was an utterly rubbish, senseless movie called Love Sex Aur Dhokha.

I dont understand why other critics are going out of the way and praising this movie out and out.The movie has zero entertainment value. The only novelty factor of the movie is there are no actors. Its like watching a secret footage of never seen before videos.

The protagonist is the camera itself which they introduce as the star of the movie. It just says that how camera has become such an integral important and dangerous part of ur day to day lives where people are just willing to do anything to shove it up in our butts to get some unseen uncut footage of someone else's personal life.

Going by this theme it shows three different stories one personally shot , one supermarket footage and another a sting operation.The are three stories linked together and shot with 3 different cameras. a security cam, a video camera, and a secret sting camera. No written dialogues , the stories are believable but not entertaining at all. You get so bored that you want to pull your hair. Even the novelty of shooting with personal cameras wears you out after a little time.

As the title says the first story in the movie is about love.. then its all about SEX and then the DHOKHA..

However when you go to see love you'll find a lot of love in the movie but just when you start expecting SEX you are in for a big DHOKHA.. i guess the censor board has chopped and kept for their personal viewing. The movie isnt bold at all.

But i will tell you why the movie will rake in moolah at the box office.

Exceptional Marketing.

Totally Different Concept. So curiosity.

Catchy Title Track.

Ekta Kapoor has done enough publicity to create a buzz amongst media and youngsters about the movie. The appearance, the title, the market value of the movie is enough to attract audience to watch it once atleast.

On top of that the title track of the movie is just brilliant. Kailesh Kher gives his rustic feel to the song which makes you hum all day.

But the movie is just worthless.

Love Sex aur Dhokha Darling. Pass.

Is this love or is it Infatuation?

This being a Valentines week I am trying to stick to the theme.

But i dont have and never had anything mushy to say about when it comes to LOuVE.

The very reason I am mentioning "love" AS "LOuVE" shows my lack of seriousness towards the underrated or for that matter over rated word.

Probably because I am too practical or too rational to the extent of being cynical when it comes to love.

So I am writing this basically to clear the misconception of most of you out there who think that

Love, Infatuation and Attraction are 3 different things.

One of these always gives birth to another.

I mean I have heard people falling in "love at first sight" and actually completing their quest for true love and on the other hand I have seen people taking their time to know each other and that time runs into years and years of unconditional commitment only to finally realize that it was just an INFATUATION. Ironic.

Why is there a confusion between these two highly over used and misinterpreted words?

I think everything starts with an infatuation.

Infatuation basically means "temporary" love of adolescent a foolish and usually extravagant passion love or admiration.

But that is what love is all about right? Foolish,immature

Many temporary infatuations make one long lasting love.

The very reason that draws you to a person makes you call, text, think, imagine, fantasize is because you are attracted to him or her due to some kind of infatuation.

You may be infatuated by looks, money, personality, kindness, humour.

So if you are not sure whether what you have between you and your partner is infatuation or love you will be wondering all your life.

And the only way you will come to know about it is if you eventually end up with him/her for the rest of your life and then you can tell the world with a sense of pride " oh! well it was unconditional pure love from the very start"

and god forbid if you break up tomorrow you will tell yourself " oh! well it was nothing but infatuation"

So if its infatuation there is nothing wrong it is meant to be like that.

And if its LOuVE trust me.. it is still a higher degree of INFATUATION.

What's In Store?

Who knows the answer to this question?

"Whats in Store?"

But what if you desperately want to find out "Whats in Store?" so that you can make some decisions based on that what do you do?.. just wait and watch till something magically appears and says this was in store or just take a risk go with the flow and discover what it was.

What will happen if you become impulsive and take a decision then and there and regret it later.. or what will happen if you try the safest road sit back watch and realized that you should have taken a decision long back. After all most of the troubles in life are because of saying "No" too soon or "Yes" too late.. or the other way round.

In the entire process of "worrying" about the future and thinking whats in store we are nothing but just stressing ourselves out.

Thinking seriously complicate things.

One thing that i learnt from THE SECRET or for that matter from movies like RANG DE BASANTI ,KAL HO NA HO .. or the PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS.. was live for the moment you never know if this second might come back or no.There is no time like present.

People say take every day as it comes , I say take every fraction of a second as it comes.

I mean what do you mean when you say " I cant really see a future in this line or in this relationship or in this career"

You are not supposed to see the FUTURE because then you will be GOD.

Life is too short so dont second guess dont doubt the universe loves SPEED.

This quote from Grey's Anatomy defines life

"At some point of time you have to make a decision. Boundaries dont keep others out they fence you in. Life is messy thats how we're made. So you can WASTE your life drawing lines or you can live your life crossing them. If you are willing to take a CHANCE the view from the other side is SPECTACULAR."

So do what makes you HAPPY now. Do what makes you feel at peace with yourself now. Just Do it Now!!

Easier said than done right because what will make me really happy right now is a good trip to goa with friends but what i want to do is study for my exam which is in the FUTURE. So never works all the time but you have to learn how to make it work.

And to end all this I would again like to quote Benjamin Franklin " One today is worth two tomorrows."

After all if it is meant to be it will be. True.

Mile Sur Mera Tumhara..

26th January, just another holiday right. Well, I woke up thinking that because the fact is even if you ask yourself right now what exactly happened on 26th January 1950 many will be clueless.

So we are celebrating our 60th day of being a republic nation when we decided that the public matter and not just a few handfuls and we finally announced that India is "to the people for the people and by the people".

SO i switched on our good old doordarshan channel to see some r-day parade just to find out that there is no visibility and the entire ground is full of sudden fog cloud cover. So to pass time they showed this 22 year old song "Mile sur mera tumhara toh sur bane humaara."

And it felt so nostalgic because there were times some 5-10 years ago when I used to wait for "mowgli" to start on doordarshan and always these songs used to come up.

That time I used to get irritated because i had to wait 5 mins more for my cartoon to start.

When i heard it today it felt awesome. After listening to the doordarshan i channel surfed and landed myself on ZOOM where it was playing the ZOOM version called "Phir mile sur"

Oh the 5 minute doordarshan version is now a 18 minute ZOOM version and its bigger than ever.I absolutely loved the positive energy in the video.It is so well made with so many national icons coming together in one video which shows India's unity in diversity with so many dance and music forms and 28 states and even more number of languages singing in one tune and one line and yet everytime it sounds so different.

" Mile Sur mera tumhara toh sur bane humaara" my english translation would be..

" You Sing, I sing and we both have a SONG".. lol...

The best part of the video which got me goose bumps was when Salman Khan is there with a group of children with speaking and hearing disability where they convey the message of the song with sign language. Beautiful.

The song is peaceful and makes you feel so good and i bet once you listen to it.. you cant stop humming the tune all day.

Well, it’s been one year since I started blogging and it has been a wonderful experience. The very reason I started blogging was that when I look back at the things I’ve written 10 years down the line I feel good about it. It’s like a personal log on public domain. I liked the idea of blogging because I just couldn’t maintain a personal diary and blog was the thing for me which will keep me computer hooked and at the same time do something productive rather than updating statuses of facebook.

The inspiration came from some of my friends who used to maintain a blog and I really liked the idea behind it. You get motivated to rant even more when you get comments and people appreciate your writing.

My favorite area of writing was undoubtedly hindi movie reviews. I always wanted to write about movies and give them stars and my criticism like the newspapers.

So one year gone and 39 posts in 2009 some of them really silly some immature some debatable and some nice.

I had great pleasure in writing every single post and looking forward to people commenting on it , tracking how many people visit my blog every day gives me a new high but when I see my fellow bloggers they write actual quality matter.

So I still have a long way to go and lot to learn.Thank you for reading and keeping me motivated.

Guilty as Charged.

THE SECRET says that you can categorize your feelings into two: Good and Bad.

Good feelings consist of happiness, excitement, love, forgiveness, passion, sympathy.

Bad feelings consist of fear, envy, frustration, anger, jealousy, irritation and so on.

Amidst all these emotions we always forget one very important aspect of our emotional build up that is GUILT. Probably because you don’t know what it makes you feel.

It makes you feel good when you get rid of it and makes you feel bad when you can get rid off your guilt.

This G – factor is directly related to your conscience I guess that is how the term guilty conscience or guilty conscious was coined.

Why is guilt that important an emotion or feeling to discuss?

Because when it comes to guilt everything else fails..

Guilt pierces your heart and pricks your conscience.

Guilt tests your confidence if you can come with the truth.

It shows how big a coward you are to hide the truth.

Guilt questions your self-respect.

Guilt defines your character.

Guilt gives you the strength to face the reality.

At the same time it breaks you completely when the reality is too harsh to be faced.

Guilt makes you think and rethink and forces you to forget whatever that is you are thinking.

It forces you to look into the mirror and see more than just the 3 dimensional appearance.

You know it is guilt when you can lie easily to others but fail to lie to yourself.

Guilt hurts your ego as it makes you realize that you are WRONG.

It also gives you sleepless nights.

Guilt changes you as a person as Akshay says “ It is when you fake a smile but its only you who knows what lies beneath that ***kin smile”

Guilt is when you have convinced others but didn’t convince yourself.Guilt arrives when you know that you want to say "yes" to something and you end up saying no and vice versa.

And there is a thin line between guilt and regret . One begets the other.

It hurts the most when its because you’ve betrayed your best friend or when you’ve ditched your partner or when you have lied to your parents.

Keeping everything aside all this can be overcome by just three magical words which may sound repetitive or fake but works wonder when you say it straight from the heart.

They are “I am sorry”.

I am sorry doesn't mean that you are wrong and the other person is write it means that you just value the relationship more than each other’s ego .

My parents used to tell me “Nobody becomes smaller by saying sorry but by not saying it you do give a boost to your ego to become bigger and bigger”.

So next time to release the burden of guilt of your shoulders never think twice before saying the three magical words “I am sorry”.

Forgive and Forget should be the way to live.

Tell Me Something About Yourself !

Throughout the 4 years of my engineering I've been waiting for this day.

When i'll be sitting all dressed in formals, hair neatly combed, going through my resume and waiting for my turn when someone will call ”Prateek Malpani you are next."

That day finally arrived. I entered with a confident smile hiding my nervousness. Half my nervousness and anxiety disappeared when the interviewer at least 4 decades older than me stood up from his seat and greeted me. He looked excited for the 15 minute talk that was going to happen between us. The look on his face was calm and peaceful. After scanning my RESUME for few minutes finally the most awaited question arrived...

"Hmm ok, so tell me something about yourself?" I have been asked this question a decent number of times before but every time there was someone cute sitting opposite me asking this question.

Although I was expecting this question I was still was feeling at a loss of words when it was finally asked. Give it a thought, you can speak volumes on your friends, your crush, and your family but when it comes to telling something about yourself you become tongue-tied.

This question followed a horde of other questions.

“What are your future plans?”

“What are your interests?”

“Why this and Why not that?”

And on…

I read somewhere that always look into the eye of the interviewer and answer the question, it shows confidence but I was doing it with so much commitment that I thought I might scare him.

Finally he gave me an opportunity to ask something if I wanted to and I came up with

“Thank You Sir.”

The first ever interview of my life was smooth sailing and I can say a cake walk.

3 I.D.I.O.T.S - Much Needed Sunshine..

Hey, I am back and to do what i do best write about movies. I am not going to crib and whine about why i was out of blogosphere for so long because i learnt how to put my hand on my heart and say "Aaall izz Well" in the toughest of the situation.

I've always seen movies with an intent to learn something from it. To relate myself and try and fit in myself in the scenes of movie.

3 I.D.I.O.T.S is one movie in which i could put myself from the very second it started.

The movie is mind blowing that writing a review will be insulting it.It is always said that a bestseller book or for that matter any book when made into a movie will never do justice to it. But 3 I.D.I.O.T.S does more than just justice.

I wont be surprised if people would want to run to the book stores and buy the original masterpiece FIVE POINT SOMEONE itself. In fact i would be more surprised to know about people who havent already read the book.3 I.D.I.O.T.S is not actually a page by page adaption of 5 point someone. The body is different but the soul is the same.

It captures the moments that come in engineering life which will make engineers weep like a baby just how I was (no matter how tough a guy you are its very difficult to control that drop of tear when you see your life on big screen).I would plead AAMIR KHAN to hold a special screening of this movie to MUMBAI UNIVERSITY they desperately need to watch it or at least my college professors.

This movie is not a "laugh your ass out" movie.. nor it is a "cry your heart out" movie.. but it is what you call a more cliched term used more often called as "feel good wholesome entertainer".For some 170 odd minutes you just sit back, relax and enjoy the rollercoaster ride.I call it a roller coaster because there is not one fraction of a second in the movie where you feel its getting monotonous and neither is there a single frame where you feel that its not required in the movie.

You rope in the father of feel good cinema Raju Hirani and then get yourself 3 class actors, adapt an outstanding and popular book you have hit the bull's eye.

Aamir Khan , just when i thought Lagaan is his best work, he came up with Rang De Basanti and when i thought RDB was the best bollywood movie ever made he comes up with TAARE ZAMEEN PAR.. and when i though TZP is the movie that has touched my heart the most he comes up with 3 I.D.I.O.T.S. Hats off man!.. kudos!..

Sharman Joshi matches up and has proved himself time and again that he is also a big fish in Bollywood.

Madhavan and Boman Irani play their parts flawlessly. Even though the innumerable times that Boman Irani has played a control freak insane professor each time it fresh and different.

Kareena Kapoor is beautiful and gets noticed

in the movie dominated by 3 I.D.I.O.T.S

Let me give a special mention to the music director and lyricist. Shantanu Moitra's music is soothing and songs go with the flow of the movie in fact they help taking the movie forward.

Give a good nice ear to "Give Me Some Sunshine" beautiful, beautiful song.

All in All.. All izz Well .. i would say.. and leave you with the only one line in my head..

"Give me Some Sunshine,

Give me some Rain..

Give me another chance..

I wanna grow up once Again"

2 States - The Story Of My Marriage

Let me start by saying that Chetan Bhagat is the person behind me reading books in the first place. If it wasnt for his books i would have remained a non-reader all my life.

Chetan Bhagat the youth writer image that he has got has tried something different yet so similar this time. He decided to go one notch ahead and write a book on one of the most important and after reading the book adventurous event of his life.

I dont know the degree of adventure in the actual sense because he's mentioned to consider this book as a part of fiction.

The book that I am talking about is 2- States.

Its a book on love cum "please arrange" marriage in general in India , how it was a decade ago. Things have changed now obviously. Most importantly it has 2 states playing a very important part in the book,

Tamil Nadu and Punjab. Different like chalk and cheese isnt it?

If i tell you what the book is about it will sound very cliched but i wont be surprised if some tom dick or harry would want to make a movie on this book too cos it is surely entertaining.

Now the problematic part with Chetan Bhagat is that he raised his standards so high with the classic FIVE POINT SOMEONE that everyone expects him to churn out something like that everytime he pens down.

'5 point someone' was rocking cant put down till i finish type book.

'1 night at the call center' was okayish ( mixed response but personally I loved the book)

'3 mistakes of my life' was a disaster ( personally i hated it too)

after 3 mistakes of my life everyone started terming him as a one book wonder. Immature writer.

I always felt that he is an amazing story teller with a great humour element but not that great a writer that is why all his books are made into movies.

But again because he became so famous after his first two books which targetted the youth of india it became like a reflex action to read chetan bhagat if its a new book on the stands.

Just like people have to go and watch a Shahrukh Khan movie no matter how bad it is.. or how bad the reviews are.

But with 2- States Chetan Bhagat will manage to win the confidence of old readers and get some new ones.

The ones who are not okay with colloquial style of writing will still keep on disliking him probably because they are too sophisticated for his books or they have too much of Jeffrey Archer or John Grisham in their minds.

Although the typical Chetan Bhagat elements are there in the book like the over use of the sentence " and we made love" and overuse of sarcasm but that somehow keeps the grip and keeps you smiling.

Do not be too judgemental and read it with an open mind only then you will not find the writing too monotonous and relate to the character and eventually end up enjoying the book.

Mission Impossible

No, I am not talking about the hit tom cruise movie that came a decade ago.

Mission Impossible is the name of a dessert in the suburban chinese restaurant FIVE SPICE.

I heard about this dessert from a lot of people but never tried it.

People told me that the dish is like too heavy and its almost impossible to finish hence the name MISSION IMPOSSIBLE.

So, me being with my colony friends took this as a challenge cos all of us here believe that we are such a superlative form hoggers that we take the art of hogging to a whole new different level.

We are gluttonous when it comes to FOOD and we are not ashamed of it. Its a matter of pride.

So we all decided to go stuff our selves with some THAI FRIED RICE and MONGOLIAN PANEER GRAVY and then ordered for MISSION IMPOSSIBLE.

Before this also there have been lot of times that we just dropped in FIVE SPICE just to have the dessert but it wasnt available anytime as if the dessert itself doesnt want to get eaten by us and contradict its name.

The dessert looked huge true to its name. But then we got ready.. cleared the table with all the mess had a good nice look at the dish, looked at each other and a determined nod to each other which said

"we can do it".

Its a triangular pyramid of chocolate mousse , brownie and 2 scoops of ice cream.

But once we started it was quite literlly a cake walk.

We had some pity on the fellow restauranters and had the dessert with the spoon or trust me we dont even need it when it comes to cakes and pastries.

We even landed up in a small spoon fight but the dish vanished in like 1 minute 30 seconds to be precise.

When we again looked at each other and my friends were like " you think we can have one more"

" I was like I can have 2 MORE if you are paying for it"

So we decided against it.

The MISSION was made POSSIBLE. The dessert was no doubt lip-smacking and we were 4 people but i bet even if we would have been any 2 of us the result would have been the same.

Its in our veins.

HOGGING PERSONIFIED.

lol.. on a serious note, go and try the dessert its awesome and worth every penny and every single CALORIE.

Wake Up Who?

Talk about having a writer's block. Actually calling myself a writer will be demeaning the actual professional meaning of the word but still. Non-happening life so not happening blog.

Finally after Kaminey I saw Wake Up Sid.

I've been hearing everything about it. Had to be, a Karan Johar movie and its not talked about cant happen.

I heard Wake up Sid is overhyped , its a mixture of Taare Zameen Par , Lakshya and Waqt.

The much hum-drum about Mumbai , Bombay , Bambai.

Big deal yaa!! It earned Mr. T some attention and Karan Johar some free publicity. As they say good or bad it works either way.

Anyway about the movie, its good. I liked it. May be because of my liking towards feel good low stress movies where you simply go get entertained and return with your Vodafone Tuesday wisely used and a smile on your face.

The story is wafer thin. Final Yr student , loves to spend pappa's money , failed in exam , doesnt want to do pappa's multi million business , leaves home after a showdown with parents , lives with a new girl he just met , finds direction to his life , falls in love, the end.

Ranbir Kapoor plays a lazy , spoilt , care-free , indifferent son, immature and a child at heart. He wears the "I dont give a F" attitude ( about life, family,career).

He's happy with his social life and enjoys waking up late , late night parties , video games , music photography and his "me" time.

Yea strikes a chord with you doesnt it. Definitely he plays your next door average mumbai guy , yea but filthy rich.

This is exactly where the film scores. We can relate to the movie big time.You know, you always feel where you are heading in your life. Is this really what you want to do and what you are meant to be. We always opt for the tried and tested part and never explore whats there inside where our heart n soul lies. I guess there is room for that only in bollywood movies.The best will be watching this movie with your parents.

I liked the movie , probably because It was a long time that I'd seen a movie or because of the gujarati chick who couldnt control on her yapping and we had a nice time shooshing her every second or probably because my friend was trying too hard to control his motions and kept on asking..

" malpani kitna time baaki hai bolna"

Climax was a typical Karan Johar ending.

Ranbir Kapoor fits the role to the" T" because of his droopy eyes the lazy worn out look is bult in feature. He acted well too showing the right emotions at right places and more importantly not overdoing or overacting such a simple easy-to play character. Although his dialogue delivery is identical to Hrithik Roshan. Looks like even he wants to compete with Her-man Baweja in "Mai Hrithik Roshan Banna Chahta hoo".

Konkana Sen Sharma is lovable. No doubt about her acting skills. Her eyes are pretty. Although you dont expect her to be a glam quotient in any movie. But she plays the part well.

Anupam Kher as the disappointed dad is first rate. Specially the scene where he and ranbir kapoor have a fight is to watch out for. A perfect dad-son argument how its meant to be.

Shankar Ehsan Loy could've done better with the music.

Wake up Sid - Music video remix

Kya Karoo and Iktara.. are the songs to give an ear to.

Iktara is less publicised but an amazing song.

All in all , Go for it.. thumbs up!..and do take your parents along with you. If you can!

Shhh... I am NOT Sleeping..

Sleep is one thing that i am having a lot of trouble with off lately.

I never get good sleep.

I go green with envy when my friends say that they slept for this many hours and I always wonder how do you guys manage.

I can never say proudly that i get deep sleep.

Actually I got this from my mom cos even she has a lot of trouble sleeping.

Going back a few years from now I used to hate sleeping in my school days.

I always used to feel what if our body wasnt meant to sleep we would have saved so many hours that we waste just lying like a dead body.

I secretly used to wish that i suffer from insomnia so that i get extra time to study in the night. I was a geek then.

Back then i dint know the consequences of becoming an insomniac.

And guess what GOD is actually giving me what i wished for in my schooling days now in my engineering years when i desperately need some good deep sleep.

I dont remember the last time I slept like a baby.

Even the slightest noise wakes me up.

No matter how exhausted I am with the entire day's running and my exciting lectures I still cant sleep instantly.

The Chinese Proverb actually holds true " only when one cannot sleep does one know how loooong the night is."

Its frustrating tossing and turning and changing sides and pillows , switchin the AC on and off.

And I am not in love. lol..

It atleast takes me half n hour to get sleep after i lie down.

I'll read some , then i listen to some music, drink water, take a leak that many times..and finally I get sleep and just when I am fast asleep its my alarm going beep and its already 7?

And I am like wtf i slept like half n hour ago.

Morning is the time i get the most amazing sleep and I just dun wana get up but college.

I know this isnt insomnia I guess I am just turning into a nocturnal animal but still I am missing my dreams that I get when I am fast asleep. :p

I hope it comes back to me again.

Sleep is the best thing God ever made.

What does independence mean?

not influenced or controlled by others in matters of opinion, conduct, etc.; thinking or acting for oneself: an independent thinker

India got its independence long back. But are we really independent?

Ok fine I know India is a great country. India has diversity and it has variety and it has blah blah blah..

But how has it progressed as a country.

The other day I was discussing how India can never improve.

Ok you are not supposed to brand me as a cynic but its the truth.

What freedom are we talking about?

Freedom from corruption

Freedom from unemployment and recession

Freedom from not having a college even after scoring 95%

Freedom from reservation quotas

Freedom from trying to prove if AJMAL KASAB is a pakistani

Freedom from bombs going off like its diwali

Freedom from insane traffic

Freedom from jam-packed local trains

Freedom from farmers giving up hope

Freedom from the oh-so promising politicians

Freedom from everything that runs this :" money"

I know I am not doing anything myself for the country but I am atleast not doing anything wrong to harm it.

People are dying of breathing these days because of the swine flu.

Instead of providing masks at low cost , we start selling them at 5 times its actual worth.

I know its very late for a movie review,but i just cudnt get time to write about it and I'll keep it short. I was damn excited about this movie reasons being plenty from deepika padukone to the songs and imtiaz ali the director.

I went for the movie a week later after it released and I was getting mixed responses.

Some would come and say its amazing, some say its mediocre and some say its bakwaas.

I liked it.

The best part about Imtiaz Ali movies is the story he directs are so cliched but still there's a different and fresh feel to it.

Love Aaj Kal is a proper amalgamation of two perspectives of how people used to look at LOVE in 1950's and how its taken to be now.

The movie is worth a watch and dont compare it with JAB WE MET that was class apart.

You cant get a LAGAAN or DDLJ every second friday.

I give LOVE AAJ KAL its credit.

The movie has two different stories at the same time and how they are so similar yet so different.

Saif Ali Khan overacted himself in the suave town boy but played his part well as the sardar but kudos to the marketing brain he chose the perfect timing to get into the production world cashing on the JAB WE MET success.

Deepika Padukone sizzles.

Brazilian chick is pretty.

Rishi Kapoor is ok.

You start liking the songs slowly not at one go.

Ahun Ahun is foot tapping and please wait for the video after the movie its in fact the best part

Ye Dooriya is also a lovely song Mohit Chauhan is on a song these days quite literally.

Overall , go for it. Don't see JAB WE MET in LOVE AAJ KAL and you will like it.

Lord Dont Move That Mountain

Hmm.. so finally my 1 month vacation ends and i look forward to start the beginning of my end.My final year of computer engineering. College starts tomorrow and the mad rush begins again.

But just when i was so pensive and so sad that my vacations are ending i again happened to see my all time favourite movie THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS.
I've seen that movie so many times that I've lost my count and i have even lost count of the number of times I've cried after watching it(yes i m a guy enough to say that i cry in movies)
But that movie just gets too much out of me. And this time i made my DAD watch it.
Watching it with dad was totally different. Discussing the movie with him, talking about it learning and I could see almost that not totally but he relates to the movie somewhere or the other in his life.

That movie tells you so much about life, about happyness , about disappointments and about struggles.
It tells you when everything is just falling apart how to get that courage and collect all the pieces together and move.
I mean when I am down and out i just cant stop cribbing to myself about the things that I have and how they are not perfect and how things are not going according to the way i plan.
But the movie tells you wait for the tide to turn.

wait for the clock to tick.
You just need to have faith,that belief in yourself and someone above ALL.
Life isn't easy for anyone. Try finding that happyness in everything,that hint of joy,the laughter in tough and trying times.

Life is too short for negative things,for stress , for frustration and for anger.
I owe a lot to that movie.
Its the pursuit of happyness that we all look for and pursuit for anything comes with a price,with sacrifices with a little ordeal and that make up a huge mountain.

now pray to the lord not to move that mountain but the will power the strength to climb it.

There is in fact something for everyone.. just wait for it.

So i just want my life to be smooth, and whatever happens keep sporting that lovely smile.

Since long i've been just waiting to write about this show.

Vikram and I like to call it the SHOW OF THE CENTURY and undoubtedly it is.

I never used to watch SITCOMS that often just on and off on ZEE CAFE and STAR WORLD till KP and YASH made me see ENTOURAGE.

Its the best. Seriously it is amazing. The storyline,character sketch ,dialogues ,picturisation ,twists and turns ,everything is mind blowing and perfect. It is so damn addictive and the best DRAMA series to come out ever.

It is not even DRAMA its more like DRAMEDY.(Drama+comedy+Tragedy)

Few things that Entourage teaches you is,

I am so inspired by ARI GOLD that i have also almost decided at the back of my mind that I am going to name my kid ARI...lol..

Sea-Link And The Turn Of Events

Ok before you go ahead and start reading, this is again going to be a long post.I just cant seem to keep it short, not my cup of tea.

Well as we all know the Indian Media of hyping things up, this time it was the turn of Mumbai's Latest Landmark "Bandra Worli Sea Link". I too was caught up with the whole ga-ga behind it and couldn't resist going on it as soon as possible.

It was Aditya's Birthday,1st July, we wished him late night and decided lets go and explore the sea-link and soon everyone was game.But no sooner did we reach there than we saw close to 50 cars already honking and waiting to get a ride on the 1600 crore bridge built in a time span of almost a decade.We were very nicely shoo-ed away by the cops(pandu - mumbai slang).He was shouting on top his voice that the sea link is going to be open by 7am in the morning.

Disappointed we went back.But I had this thing, I somehow convinced and lured everyone to get up 6 in the morning and lets be one of the 50 cars to travel first on the sea-link.

So there we were, it was only me,aditya and vyas. Not 6 am but 8 am.. and not amongst the first 50 but I am sure about the first 500.

The Aaj taks and the india tvs and the blah blahs.. were already on the bridge covering the so called " breaking news" which was..

" aur hamaare saamne ye pehli gaadi jo iss adbhut aur hairat angez sea link ka maza uthane ke liye iski savari par nikal chuki hai. kaisa mehsoos ho raha hai aapko"

And I was cursing if only all of us would have woken up on time it would have been our car.

Anyway..we touched the sea-link and started or i thought so we started because as soon as we started we had to stop and we started again and we stopped.

No there was no problem with the car but the traffic was moving at a snail speed.

Now I'll tell you the reason behind it. You give to the people of India anything that comes without a cost (free) and they will accept it with open more than willing hands and well I cant blame anyone because who doesnt like free stuff...I do...

There wasnt going to be toll charge for 4 days. So the Sea-Link that claimed to make commuting faster by taking the commuters from bandra to worli in just 7 mins.. it took us 37 minutes to cross the sea-link.

I was happy in a way that happened. Because I wanted to apprecitae its beauty and seven minutes are just not enough.

That was because the Sea-Link is just marvellous,you actually feel that you are somehwere abroad and even your normal Zen that you are sitting in makes you feel that you are driving in a BMW.

The very feeling of being right on the top of the arabian sea is amazing. The air was cooler , the sound of the waves hitting the base of the bridge, everything was just awesome.

Since the traffic was moving real slow we decided to get down of the car and walk on the bridge itself..o it was wonderful. I started clicking pictures and saw outside the corner of the bridge the waves gettin wilder. The architectural wonder was an absolute spectacle. Although only 4 lanes are open for traffic till now and the other side of the bridge is not built at all.

But the smooth roads and the sophisticated one lane to each driving was witnessed first time in Mumbai by myself.

Since this wasnt enough to quench my thirst we decided to come back from worli to bandra via the same SEA-LINK and that is where the turn of events started.

When we were still enjoying the view and our car moving at a greater speed this time we suddenly heard a squeak and started wondering what happened and where the noise came from.

After that, the car stopped right in middle of the sea link and till now when I was thinking I was in a BMW i finally realized i was actually in a ZEN.

The car had the momentum to cross the entire sea-link but finally we had to get down and push it from bandra reclamation to all the way till the nearest petrol pump which wasnt so near.

To top it all in the rainy season the sun was shining right on top of my head.

We reached there and tried all the possible things to start the car but all in vain.

Aditya decided to leave the car there and we called for a MERU( the new taxi service if you havent heard about) its nice and fast.

We finally saw a green LOGAN coming towards us and stopped right in front. We got inside finally all exhausted, saturated and worn out.

That is when my friend gets a call from the MERU driver who was actually supposed to pick us up and he said " guys we are in the wrong car"

I was like wow..icing on the cake it seems.

So when i started from my place at 7.30 in the morning i never thought, to enjoy a 7 min drive on the picturesque new landmark i would come back home 2 in the afternoon.

Aditya compensated for all the turn of events by throwing the most wonderful party and we enjoyed like crazy on the new roof top restaurant in andheri forgetting the back ache by pushing the car for almost 5 kms.

At last it was all in the fun and in the name of experience.

I wanted to be the first one to drive on the sea link and I was infact the first one to even walk on it.

New York or New Yaaawn..!!

Aahh... feels so good finally the smell of popcorn.. the rush to catch the movie right on time so that u dont even miss the national anthem..damn i missed the theatres.. it seemed like a decade that i'd been inside the theatre to watch the movie because of the stupid strike between producers and the multiplex owners.. so when we made plans for NEW YORK - the movie ofcourse i was all game..katrina and my theatres back in action.

NEW YORK - the movie of course .. had everything to pull you to the theatres.. decent star cast.. nice promos... perfect timing....and a good YASH RAJ banner written all over it.

I was looking forward for the movie but again too me its a sort of disappointment.

You cant call the movie good .. neither it is too bad.

The director KABIR KHAN.. i was a fan when i saw KABUL EXPRESS i liked the movie.
With terrorism as a back drop even here , this time the 9/11 twin towes blasts and its prejudices, he came up with a more commercialized flick , prolly many people thought that KABUL EXPRESS was more of a documentary.

So this time what he does is , he tries to make a mystery , then some suspense , then a love triangle , then some terrorism , then some chor-police chase and you get NEW YORK - the movie of course..

The movie starts of with some "childish" college scenes which have been re-repeated over a million times in many different movies in different ways. I am in love with this particular word which is gona catch up real soon with guys as the movie is seen .. TOTAAA!!.. haha..

Neil Nitin Mukesh - all three of them.. play the geek ,

Katrina - sweet pretty lady and the eye candy.

The movie moves at a real slow place in the first half with some flashback and interrogating scenes IRFAN KHAN being the COP.

(I dont understand this if its a bollywood movie and shot abroad and you have a crime investigation, from out of the world you will always have your friendly neighbour hood.. INDIAN COP who speaks fluent hindi).

Problem with this movie is that it grips ur attention for a while and then loses it by putting some un-necessary emotional scenes and stupid songs couple of times.

John Abraham said it in an interview that NEW YORK- the movie of course.. begins where the movie KHUDA KAY LIYE ends...

Actually he spoke sense.. this movie actually tells about life after 9/11 specially for the muslims living abroad.

But i should mention here where the movie loses its brownie points is the CLIMAX.. i mean a good end makes you forget about the tortured 2.30 mins in any other movie.

But then , though i wasnt tortured , i dint enjoy either and to back it up it had the most pathetic CLIMAX scene which dint help the movie to have a good taste in the audiences minds when they leave out.

Music theres not much to hear except for the " hai junoo" song. And a love making song between john and katrina but u rather see it than hear it. :p

Acting

Neil Nitin Mukhesh - i've been a fan of all three of them since johny gaddar.. nice acting

John Abraham - he's always proven the myth that "models cant act" wrong..superb acting..he potrays flamboyance , anger , frustration.. just perfect!

Irfan Khan - is a superb actor.. he plays the role of a cop with ease and natural acting abilities unlike the other star cast but wat is IRFAN khan without his wise ass perfectly timed dialogues he's been given NONE..!!

Now for the acting skills of my pretty lady Katrina Kaif , all i can say.. she's definitely improved her HINDI.. lol

All in all NEW YORK - the movie of course..is a strict , mediocre .. one time watch.

I would say go for it , smell the popcorns and come u'll have a feel good factor.. lol..

Baa Baa Boo Boo Blah Blah Blah...

Well, just how weird and confusing you might find the topic of this post , that's exactly my thought process right now.

I am writing this particular entry just for the heck of it.

I almost thought TONIGHT'S ENTERTAINMENT is dying so i had to bring it back to life. :)

the thoughts are just so random right now that i just dont know what m gona type in the next few minutes . There's just so many different feelings that I am going through right now its a dilemma of sorts.

Firstly, a "little" whining to do..

I just so hate the timing , the length and the very purpose of conducting engineering exams.The entire world is out there enjoying their summer holidays and we get to sit and cram the entire 1000 page book in 4 days.

Its that time where you look out you see people so free , so happy , so de-stressed and you have just piles of book lying on the table waiting for that "new book" smell to fade away .

Since I've been in engineering I've actually forgotten when did I last have a thing called "Summer vacations"

But m happy its over.. its f**kin over. I don't care how irritating the papers were , where there were moments when i scanned through the entire 140 marks and was wondering if there are at least a good 40 marks that I can attempt confidently.

The paper setter must be going through his/her divorce while setting it.(what the hell were they thinking) and even the bloody almonds, the eating of yogurt before the exam( courtesy my mom and my stupid superstition), the late night cups of coffee dint help much. The hot coffee used to put me to sleep even earlier than the normal time I would have slept.

But the good old saying actually holds true , " Alls well that ends well"... well almost.

Somehow amidst the mountain of distractions I managed to scrape through my exams. I got hooked to bloody FRIENDS what a time..

after every three answers I used to watch 1 episode..saying " well its just 20 mins and i shud take it as a refreshment.. yea ryt.. after that i used to spend some good 10 mins on what got ROSS AND RACHEL to break up and also start thinking about CHANDLER's wise-ass remarks and wonder why cant I come up with this. lol..

one more so called refreshment was facebook , got addicted to that as well

the equation was..10 mins of "serious" studying and 15 mins of even more "serious" facebooking.

after reading this I know many of you must be wondering when did I actually study..?

N guess who knows the answer, only me and I guess the mark sheet that I am gona get soon after college re-opens... like m waiting for it.. bleh!..

But that's how it works!

p.s: facebook , ipl , t20 world cup , unexpected calls , birthday treats , guests , movies they all happen during exams I don't understand.

The irritating part is you sit to study , and you don't want to , and you fall in for some of the distractions mentioned above and then you feel guilty that you should have studied instead. wtf!.. serious atyachaar..!!.. my veins used to pop out so often and whenever I used to just shake my head in frustration i would see hair falling like how leaves fall during autumn. Well you do get new leaves but I dunno if my fallen hair gona come with that speed very next season.

Even worse look at the irony of life , how it plays tricky games with your mind and heart.

My younger bro who's just entered 10th grade was at home since a month for his summer holidays he got from his boarding. He was so not waiting for 12th June to come and he'll have to go back and I was so waiting for 12th June to come when my exams finally end.

Different people different prayers different wishes and different wants.

He tells me even now " Bhaiya , I seriously dunno where one full month flew past" .. and I was like.. " yes ask me, every day seemed like a month for me..."

Secondly ,

Its been almost like a tradition, or you would say stress-breaking therapy that I take after every exam. I just feel like running out of Mumbai. I mean the city comes to eat you if you don't take a break once a while. I just need a change in the atmosphere , the air , the very ambiance. I just need to go out where i can just live some days in peace with no material tensions about what am I going to do tomorrow. Eat, Sleep, Sit idle, Day-dream, Fantasize and listen to some good Music is all i want for some days... lol..

I don't know if I am even going to get that cos of the MBA classes are already dancing on my head. In fact m looking forward to go all guns with the CAT prep but i seriously need some time off man.

Thirdly,

Time for some thing to smile and be cheer about. I have in fact lot of things to look forward for.

I am seriously contemplating not wasting much time sitting in front of the idiot box and try taking up squash instead.

Its even Entourage time baby!..season 6 coming this July.

Also , how much ever i crib about the exams they went pretty decent i should say... lol

and finally some sense prevailed in the karta-dhartas of engineering and dey gave us a 1 month off before the last and final year of my thing dat i call B.E in Computer Science starts.. or i shud say ends..

Finally ,

After the dry phase in the multiplexes coming to an end.. the dry spell at TONIGHT'S ENTERTAINMENT.. at oye its malpani!.. is also coming to an end.. cos you'll soon see a flurry of back to back to back to back posts!..

Well not the right thing to say.. but have a nice RAINY VACATIONS.. at least to my engineering friends.

P.P.S: Since m writing after such a long time and to add to it the dis-orientation of my thoughts and to add to it, its being typed when my eyes are almost red and its 4.03 am!!..the post is so huge dat a short novel can be written on it.. but well.. again..sorry but can't help it....lol

The CPLC Bash!!

This was the invitation that was sent by the CPLC administrator to invite all the students for the bash happening on 9th may that was yesterday.

Let me brief u guys about CPLC ..its Chitale's Personalised Learning Centre. I am so sure many CPLC students will have their tongue in cheek after reading the full form."Oh!.. thats the full form" lol..

Its my CAT classes that i had joined some months back and I always loved the atmosphere there. The professors are friendly and helpful and masters in their subjects.

Well the bash was happening at jashoda rang mandir next to NM college to celebrate the success of CPLC students in the recent CET/CAT exams.We were kept updated through facebook in the CPLC group as well as by a guy called Sutradhar CPLC who represents the CPLC and communicates between the students and the classes.

I learnt that some acts are gona be performed on stage and they need dancers for group dance.I know i am a budding engineer , I know my exam starts in less than 2 weeks but I was too bored and it was hardly any time. Plus the idea of learning the dance , interacting with the teachers, meeting new people was exciting enough for me to volunteer for it.

I was one of the members of the group dance with 11 others.

And ask me about it , I had awesome fun the last 2 days practicing and alas performing sucessfully on it.The practice sessions in particular were damn funny.The whole choreographing act.If i have to describe each and everything it would be too much to talk about.I remember pooja who was trying her best to choreograph the song with a lil slip of tongue said

" ok guys in this particular music for ten seconds you have to do nothing .. just play with yourself."

and we all burst out laughing.

swati with her jive and salsa performance when we were down and out after continuous practicing she entertained us with some amazing moves.

rohan and gaurav who entertained us by their non-stop commenting on the choreography.

harshita who taught me some cheer leading steps with the pom-poms

i shud mention rancy has a beautiful voice.

and ankita the big scholar i was zapped when i heard she's a 99 percentile student

I met some really sweet, nice and fun to be with people.

It was the last act of the evening after which everyone cut loose from the professors to the students and almost everyone was on stage.

Bhavin Sir specially danced like a professional. He was awesome.

I was happy that I contributed towards the bash and interacted so much with the professors who are going play a very important role in building my career next 6 months.

The music was amazing thereafter and the food was equally good.All in all nice fun.Enjoyed.Thank you CPLC.

So finally my dreaded vivas(orals) are over. I know its a bit pakaoing seeing me crib about my vivas every second post but guys u have no idea the hell engineers are made to go through for a meagre 25 marks.

Anyway lets leave that aside now dat its over and my Preparation Leave starts

Our professors call it "study leave"... engineers call it "leave study"

trust me this is the time meant for us to study considering the entire semester is digested and puked in 20 days of study leave...on the contrary we spend all the more time playing stupid flash games , watching tv , orkutting , facebooking and many other such important stuff!..

I just wanted to start the prep leave on a high so I thought of studying. In fact i managed to put my bum on my chair for quite a long time and was quite happy about it.

So decided to go for a walk down and this wierd thing came in my mind lets go and visit the temples in my colony. I call it wierd because its been ages that i have even stopped seeing a temple forget visiting it.

My mom was after my life , she walways used to tell me , out of 24 hours in ur day atleast spend 24 seconds praying in front of the god. But.. all her efforts and nagging were in vain and she eventually stopped.

I thought its mother's day so Y not do something to be the momma's boy.

Therefore i decided to go and visit the mandirs and even asked her to company which was more like shouting " dekho mai mandir jaa raha hoo.. baad mein bolna mat that m an atheist"

Lol cos everytime she used to mention this i always used to tell her "u neednt go to a particular place to pray to god , he's omnipresent.I used to call the faith she has in god as superstition.

Although when I am in need the first thing i do is pray. ( Sucha hypocrite.. lol)

Guys bangur nagar , where I stay , is a senior citizen's paradise. There are closed to 6 temples in 10 min walking distance.

See when you go and visit a temple there are three P's dat come along with it.

Peace , Pure , Positive

It felt so nice. It was divine. The chants of "Om". The silence in the background. The devoted and dedicated faces. The people with faith in their gods.The red orange grey teekas.Something powerful was there in each of the things.

My dad used to tell me that you dont visit temples to pray.

You go to temples because thats the only place where how much ever u try a negative thought will never come across your mind.You will never think bad about anyone or anything once in the temple.

One more thing that i used to ask my dad when i was a kid was why do we have to touch our elder's feet to show that we love them and respect them

Why the formality when the respect comes from the heart.

To which he answered " when you touch someone's feet at the same time the person keeps a hand on your head to bless you and a circle of positive energy is thus completed in this way."

It made sense even though superficial.

Another thing that i read in a book was about the famous tirupati temple in tamil nadu.

Why do devotees who go to visit the tirupati temple donate thier hair.I mean what kind of "daan" is that. We have always seen people donating wealth , food , shelter, clothing.

But hair??!!.. wierd naa..

But the answer is that generally a human beings associates one's hair to pride , style , personality , image. The first thing you do when you look into the mirror is check whether your hair is looking alright or no.

So when u donate your hair to god it means that you are being humble , sacrificing your pride honour style and u are reminded dat you should always be down to earth.

Makes sense doesnt it?.

I realised how pure i felt when i finally visited the temples. It was a kind of refreshment and the urge to be more positive in life and be content with what you have.

Well.. its been a long time that I have blogged. As usual there are many things already that are keeping me busy from IPL to stupid vivas.

I finally have a breather and got just 2 more vivas to go.. before my ever so long PL short for "preparation leave" starts and the days will start passing at a snail speed. But i guess now I am pretty much used to it, used to getting 15 day break between 2 exams , used to run and butter teachers up for my submissions , used to saying " ahh umm.. mam.. u u knw.. basically.. actually.. its like".. in my vivas before every answer also used to defending KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS despite of them losing every single game and my friends dance on top of my head when we lose..!!..

One thing that I wasnt used to doing.. and that i should have started doing 3 years ago when I was 18 was ... to V-O-T-E.

It was like just another day for me, I 've lost track of sundays and mondays and the difference between them, thanks to my college who arranged a viva on a sunday morning.

I didnt even know the importance of 30th April 2009 , till my dad told yesterday that its the VOTING DAY.

My first reaction was... oh yea.. as if i care..voohoo.. its a holiday!..

This has always been my reaction when it comes to politics patriotism and related stuff.

It has always been " I dont care and I dont give a damn" about whos there and whos not.

How is it gona matter anyway..!!

Although I had my voting Id made long time back when my mom forced me outta the house to get it done.

You can tell me that I had the same mentality what "siddharth had from RANG DE BASANTI"

I remember a dialogue " Jis din mujhe degree mili mai toh kat loonga yaha se... seedha america .. india mai reh ke mera kuch nahi hone wala. Tu yaha pe baith aur sudhaar is desh ko"

My thinking was almost like this.. if not that insensitive.

Then again the two advertisements that keep on coming on tv very often these days.

No I am not talking about the stupid "jai ho and bhay ho " adds by congress or bjp about what they are going to do and what they have done.

The first ad that i am talking about was the ad in which a small boy tries to remove a huge tree that is blocking the road in heavy rain and causing traffic jam while other young adults are just looking at it and cursing it and feeling ashamed and embarassed.

and the song that plays in the background is " tum chalo toh hindustan chale"

I get goose bumps man.. every time i see the advertisement. Its touching and brings you back to your senses and hit you hard on ground reality.

And the other one is , no matter how funny or sarcastic the ad is it gives u a message saying " election ke din agar aap vote nahi kar rahe ho toh aap so rahe ho"

All this built up.. and plus a lil force from my mom and dad brought me back to senses and I went there to cast my first ever vote!..

I mean your vote is your voice to speak up.

I knw the first thought in our minds will be "kya faydaa hai.. politicians saale chor hai .. aur ye hai aur voh hai" but out of 100 there must be one good person who actually wants to change things. So atleast your one vote can support that particular person and give him a chance.

We have a human tendency to type cast people so lets not do that and judge evry person as an individual and "VOTE".

I am feeling a sense of pride , and respect for my self everytime i see the blue ink on my index finger.

I feel responsible ... i feel that I am an indian.!!

Yeah Baby!!.. the festival begins.. Saturday 18th April..!!.. and the excitement is just building up.. as it comes closer.I just cant wait for it.

Last year's IPL was a mega hit and this time round its happening in "Dakshin Aphrika" we just have to wait and watch how it turns out to be.
