Everything's Right when Everything's Right

Yes..its completely true cos i am experiencing it right now.
All you have to think is that everything happens for good.

I dont know I just have these positive vibes coming from somewhere since last year and everything's falling in place.

Everything is just picture perfect.

The perfect friends
The perfect atmosphere
The ever-perfect family
The perfect marks

*touchwood*

I just want this to go on and on.

Even the perfect timing of perfectness. ...lol.. if dats a word.

The day I was all set to go for a week's holiday to nagpur and chennai to attend my cousin's wedding.
When i was just tellin everyone that I am in holiday mood. God gave me a booster and gifted me with my marks. The moment Tanya told me when i was just half way through to college on the bike.. i started jumping and felt like flying.

I swear I would have done a wheely then and there.. but came back to my senses soon...haha

The wedding was just amazing.
The sangeet function,reception,pheras... everything was so much fun.
Yes even i danced...on stage and even in the procession.

The amount of sweets that i have had is just unbelieveable... you know how a marwari wedding is. You name the Indian sweet and i've had it and that too in rounds.

In competitions with the "ladki wale's"
I actually forgot how does a sour thing taste.

The love that the MALPANI family shares was awesome and the family is huge.
my dad has 3 brothers and 1 sister.

so we are 9 cousins(7 brothers and 2 sisters)

and then i have my nephews and neice calling me prateek chachu and prateek mama...

I was constantly being teased and mocked about me being next in LINE  as everyone elder to me is married and mayank bhaiya's wedding was the one i was attending so throughout the wedding it was just this .." teri line toh clear ho gayi" "you're next".. and i would just smile thinking still theres a lot of time.

I wanted a break from Mumbai from my college after the exams and i got it with the icing on the cake.

I just want it to be the way it is..and continue...forever...!!

Wine me Dine me...69 me..!!.. :p

Well.. dont go by the topic name and start imagining things already.

Its just that I am in love wid the number 69..!!

cos 69.62% that is what i scored in sem5 and i am so  happy and elated..!!!..
its lovely..!!..for all those who know me and how i use THE SECRET will know the importance and how big an achievement it is for me to score close to 70% in my third year engineering.

It wasnt easy.. trust me..!!..
i wont want to recall the tough days... of me being officially allowed to KEEP TERM by mumbai university in my first semester.. and how shattered i was.
But its back on track..!!

Since i dint hide anything about my failiures when i had.. i am gona boast equally about the success dat m enjoying now.

It was slow but its picking up pace.

Life's never been so smooth. My graph is gradually changing with an upward trend.
When i got 68% in semester 4 my aim was to score 70% so that I have an aggregate of 60% of the first five sems which are gona matter the most.
Now you can see how miserable I was in the first year of my engineering till i started getting a knack of how it works.

And that is exactly what happened.

But its not done yet... as they say " ROAD TO SUCCESS IS ALWAYS UNDER CONSTRUCTION"

So there are many things on my mind to be achieved... which may make the 70% i just scored meagre but well right now its all "wine me dine me and 69 me"...lol

Billu Re....!!!

Well I cant help but post about movies now.. thats all most become my self proclaimed forte considering m sucha huge bollywood freak and how much ever i resist writing about movies my fingers just cant be controlled. But i promise i wont post any movie review atleast for a month.I feel like Khalid Mohammad already...lol. And btw other reason being the lack of topics to write on so suggest me something.

So here i am to review the movie that I have been waiting eagerly for and I being the only person.
Billu.
First of all I find it stupid AND irritating that people actually found the "barber" offending in the title, to the "barber" community. Grow up!!!

None of my friends had even 1% excitement to go for the movie.Everyone i asked gave me a stern "no" back or a half hearted reply. Then i happened to read somewhere on the net that its a "family entertainer" so i was like cool lets watch it with family even where i had to push my mom and dad to the theatre.

Well I know I am damn biased about srk movies but still i try my level best to be impartial and give a genuine opinion on it.
So "genuinely" Billu is a light entertainer and a very simple movie with a pure neat and unadulterated story line. The movie is no doubt slow and the songs in which SRK is featuring almost all of them just hamper the pace even more in particular one song called " Ae aa o" actually hams into your ears and you just wait for it to get over and the song has a SRK VIDEO SLIDES running as the background with all the entry scenes of his movies.

Billu(Irfan Khan) is a barber whos gone to rags and has nothing to look for and almost touched the poverty line but is still dedicated and determined to his profession. He has a hot looking gaao ki chhori as his wife (lara dutta) and two adorable and funny kids. You connect with them instantly.
Then there's SRK playin saahir khan the big shot superstar and he decides to shoot in the village called BUDBUDA where billu lives but saahir has no clue about it.
But when the village people hear this, things go out of control beyond the imagination of billu and then there are sequences of comic tragic and emotional scenes to follow which takes the movie ahead.
First half is real slow with just the introduction of whats happening in both the protaganist's lives.
Second half and especially the climax is the main highlight of the movie after being given a mediocre first half.

Irfan Khan is the soul of the movie with amazing expressions during emotional scenes and outstanding comic timing and dialogue delivery.
Om Puri is also extra funny in his miser role.
Rajpal Yadav and Israni are wasted.
Music is ok although the picturization of the songs is sparkling.

Srk mainly is for the three songs to add the glamour quotient in the movie but the pre-climax 2 page dialogue scene proves it that he is one of the greatest actors alive today. When it comes to emotional scenes he's the best person in bollywood he does it with class.

I shall mention Deepika Padukone over here ... guys she's sizzling in the song. Lyrically the padukone song sucked but the video is amazing...she's the hottest out of the 3 special appearances.

The cinematography is first-rate where the village looked like an actual village given importance to minute details still looked rich on the big screen.
The movie could have been edited for good.

With a priyadarshan movie u expect madness and leave-your-brain-at-home comedy. But this one's a sensitive movie overall with a hint of laughter here n there.

All in all, after JAI-VEERU,MUNNA-CIRCUIT there could have been BILLU-SAHIR only if the movie was a bit more entertaining and gripping. So mixed reactions for this SRK home production expected.

If RAB NE BANA DI JODI can be called a documentary on LOVE...
BILLU is a documentary on FRIENDSHIP...

Dev D - Nothing emotional about this ATYACHAR

6th Friday the movie almost all my friends have been waiting for manly because of the super popular song emotional atyachar and secondly because of abhay deol's acting considering everyone loved oye lucky..!!
And i was completely zapped when i was attending my lectures i got a text from Neeti saying DEV D got 5 stars in the TIMES OF INDIA...!!.. i was like..!..woohh..!!..dats awesome!..this movie has to be something.
Luckily everything that day in college got cancelled.. and i was free and the entire built up was only helping me and pushing me to watch DEV D.
So there we were to watch a 5 star movie 1 pm show in da afternoon..

So how was it?..is it no smoking look alike or is it one more of abhay deol's classic or was it completely a trash..!!

In my opinion DEV D was nothing but mediocre and an ordinary flick.

The excitement was always there with the mordern version of DEVDAS.. while dev over here as in the srk devdas is arrogant self obsessed rich spoilt brat with a silver spoon and calls his dad by his name " sattu". Paro on the contrary is shown to be bold, beautiful at places, with instant repartee and new age chandigarh woman who doesnt mind sending nude pictures of herself for DEV. Such is the love that she has been saving her virginity and becomes a sex starving female with raging hormones
an actual mordern day paro.. eh?

Enter lenny aka chanda the chandramukhi of the movie who's the victim of a MMS SCANDAL taken inspiration from the dps case earlier.
Life takes a u-turn for her where she faces lewd remarks and humiliation and is isolated by friends and family. She has someone who gives her an option to study by day and play the ultimate fantasy for men by night.

The story line is really thin and nothing much to look for like the other DEVDAS's.. but still the creativity in the movie the character sketch of the three characters is rock solid.
Anurag Kashyap did manage to do his homework over here.

But that is dominated by the slow pace at which the movie runs.
Pre-interval portions do manage to impress you and the punjabi backdrop is funny at places with amazing dialogues but the other half of the movie has nothing but DEV running and hunting for alcohol, stalks paro by night, lives on marijuana and in the end CHANDA.

The entire narration has been done by close to 18 songs in the movie which keeps on coming at regular intervals only if they would have been better placed would have had a better impact cos after sometime they start irritating you.
Some of the songs that are no doubt worth listening are emotional atyachar , pardesi, duniya, nayan tarse. Excellent work.

All in all its Abhay deol and the two confident newcomers being the saving grace in this really ok but creative movie.
The camera work, cinematography , the delhi night life and red light area have been shown brilliantly.
The dialogues are great too.
Anurag Kashyap is an off beat director with a different understanding and out of the box thinking of his own. Critics did strike a chord with him in this piece.. i and my friends dint.
It is for sure new-age bollywood cinema but not entertaining.

When i was a child there were some movies that i really wanted to see but my parents would come and tell me.." its not for you."
This is one movie where i would tell my parents "ye aapke liye nahi hai"
Trust me if you're at all planning to see it with your parents it will be damn uncomfortable and heights of awkwardness.
The movie is a thumbs down from me. Watch Srk devdas again rather than this.
